Which sinners?
This message is only for those who called themselves a true followers of God who are wash by the blood of the Lamb, and whom Jesus, the Son of God is their Lord and Savior, and through him the church has been able to come closest to the throne of God to ask anything in his name, for there is no salvation by any other man; for there is no other name under heaven given among man whereby we must be saved. Jesus' way is the only way to God.
Now, what I am about to said will make some people uncomfortable, and other will criticize me because they don't have nothing else to do, but I must obey and please my LORD and not men.
People have this idea, because the scripture said, live in peace with all men, especially with those who are in the household of God, that this verse means that we are not to preach or teach straightforwardly the word of true, the good news of the gospel, in a way that will offended the unbelievers.
Christians who think like this also said, Jesus never taught to his disciples to be a stumbling block to unbelievers, but to Love them as ourselves.
We are to respect their religion belief and stop condemned them but embarrass them, and come together with them, join them and stop making religions division.
This kind of division of preaching and teaching instead of bringing them to Christ it is causing hatred and we are to love them and stop criticism.
Does the bible teaches Christians that Jesus Christ himself love the world so much that he did not preach to all sinners?
Are we to love the worldly things?
Are Christians called to unite as one with sinners who disagree and don't believe the bible?
What Jesus meant when he said, I did not come to bring peace, but division?
Let see what the bible says about it.
1. Does the bible teaches Christians that Jesus Christ himself love the world so much that he did not preach to all sinners?
What is exactly a sinner?
Any person born of a woman is a sinner.
We are sinners because of what Adam and Eve did on the Garden of Eden.
Adam and Eve disobey God command and since then man has been separated from God since then until the day Jesus Christ was sent by his Father to the world, with the purpose whosoever believe in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
Again, a sinner is a person who is separated from God, who need a redeemer to take his place and save him.
Jesus did just that he die on the cross and redeemed us from the curse of the law and he save us.
A believer is a person who heard and believe God's word.
Is a sinner an unbeliever?
The answer is Yes, but in a second class type of sinner.
You may ask, what is second class type of sinner?
Every person who never heard the word of God is a first class type of sinner, but a person who heard the word but believe not the word is called second class type of sinner, an unbeliever.
But, a person who believe in the word of Jesus is called a believer.
Every person is born a sinner, but does not necessary mean they are an unbeliever, because an unbeliever is a person who don't believe.
Whether you never heard the gospel or heard the gospel and do not believe the message of the Kingdom both of them are considered to be sinners.
But again the main point here is there is two class types of sinners and believer.
Paul mentioned it in the book of Romans 10:14-17:
14 How then can they call on him in whom they have not believed? Or how can they believe in him whom they have never heard? Or how can they hear without a preacher?
15 Or how can they preach if they are not sent forth? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who preach peace, and of those who bring good tidings!
16 But all have not heard the preaching of the gospel. For Isaiah said, My Lord, who has believed the echoes of our voice?
17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Verse 14, Paul made clear the second class type of sinner is an unbeliever who heard the preaching but they don't want to believe, for he said how can they call on him in whom they have not believe?
Verse 17 Paul said, once a person hear the word, then faith comes to believe and this kind of person is called a believer.
But the first class type of sinner is a person who never heard the gospel, Verse 14 Paul mention them: Or how can they believe in him whom they have never heard?
Both are sinners but one never heard the gospel but the other heard it and believe not, it all depend if they hear it or not.
To believe or not believe the gospel for that to happen a preacher must be sent first.
In verse 15, Paul said: Or how can they preach if they are not sent forth? Once the preacher is sent then it is a matter of the hearer to accept it or not.
For the hearer to have faith they first have to hear the preaching and after they hear it then they will believe, for Paul said in verse 17: So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Again once they hear then they will have faith to believe.
Once they believe then they are no more a sinner [of first class type] who never heard the gospel but a follower of Christ [believer].
Only those who after hearing the word of God from a preacher choose not to believe are called an unbeliever.
But again those who choose to believe become a believer.
Therefore, a sinner is not a believer or an unbeliever yet, until they hear the word of God from a preacher, then they decide whether they are going to believe or not believe.
But the main point here there is two class types of sinners: The first class type of sinner is a person who never heard the message of the gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven, this first class type of sinner is called sinner only.
The second type of sinner is a person who heard the message and after hearing it they refuse to believe, this second type of sinner is called unbeliever.
Now that we understand the different between the two class types of sinners and the different between a believer and unbeliever who heard the gospel, what the bible said about them?
We come to the scripture and do investigation, searching to see what kind of sinners approached to Jesus and with whom he associate with in the world.
1 Timothy 1:15, Paul said: Jesus came to world to save sinners ....
John said, for God so love the world that he sent his only begotten Son that whosoever believe in him shall not parish but have everlasting life.
So Jesus did come to the world to save Sinners.
Now, when Jesus started to preach and heal the sick many that came to him were first class type of sinners. But they believe in him and came to him to get heal or for their love one to get heal; they became believers.
This kind of people Jesus deal with and talk to was people who believe in him and Jesus when he heal he told them their sins have been forgiven.
Jesus heals everyone that came to him, but he also forgive sins they have made.
In the story of a blind man, he find him and heal him and the man saw but when Jesus saw him in the temple he told him not to sin no more or else something worst would come to him.
Another story of a woman who commit adultery also Jesus forgive her and told her not to sin no more.
One day Jesus was in the temple in the Sabbath day and there he saw a man and he approach to him and forgive his sin too, and the Pharisee was mad at him because Jesus was forgiven sins in the temple on a sabbath day when God is the only one who can forgive sins for Jesus was just a man, they said it within themselves, and Jesus knowing their evil intention, he look at the man to show the Pharisees that he has the power not only to forgive sins but also to heal the sick, he says unto the man be heal of thy sickness, and the man was heal immediately.
The Pharisees was a second class type of sinner who hearing his word they did not believe Jesus' word.
Jesus did eat with the sinners who believe in him.
In an another day he visit a man house and there was a woman who came to him with an expenses fragrance oil and she pour out on Jesus' feet and then she dry it with her hair and she kisses his feet and Jesus forgive her sins too.
Jesus also met another man who was on a top of the tree because he was short and wanted to see Jesus and Jesus told Zaccheus to come down for he has to go to his house and there in his house Jesus also said unto him, Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham [LUKE 19:5-9].
Jesus went around doing good and healing all who was oppressed by the devil and he also forgive their sins.
Jesus went to a wedding feast at Jerusalem and did share with them their happiness but also in the feast he did a miracles.
Jesus did not stop being who he was the Son of God and works miracle.
But the main thing about it is Jesus forgive and heal sinners and did miracle because he love those sinners who receive him and listen to him.
Did Jesus Christ associate or visit or share with any person who did not believe on him nor receive him and hated him to death?
The answer is "No," he did not associate neither visit nor share with any unbeliever who hated him.
Many disciples who follow Jesus hear his word of God, but after hearing about the bread and wine which is a symbol of his flesh and blood that whosoever eat it and drink it will life forever, his word offended them, for they said: This is a hard teaching, who can accept it?
And they turned back and no longer followed Jesus.
For Jesus knew from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray him.
And Jesus told the twelve of his disciples do you also want to leave? But the twelve of his disciples did not wanted to leave him [John 6:60-70].
Jesus made it clear any person who believe in him and hold on to his teaching is his disciple [John 8:32-32].
And him who follow Jesus is worthy of him [Matthew 10:38], and will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life [John8:12].
But again for any man who wants to be his disciple he must deny himself first and take his cross and follow Jesus [Mark 8:34].
There are other time you might have to give up all you possession that does not let you growth or please God and sell it and give it to poor and then follow Jesus [Matthew 19:21].
People must be willing and able to deny himself and give up all in order to follow Jesus.
In the beginning Jesus selected the twelve disciple but then many who believe became his disciple too and were adding with the twelve but when Jesus started to teach them spiritual things which they could not understand it they got offended, they turned around and follow him no more.
After they left Jesus, he did not bother to go after them neither did he visit them nor share with them because Jesus only visit and share and be around people who receive him and believe him and follow him.
You might said, the Pharisees was around Jesus and follow him, and they spoke to Jesus and they did not believe Jesus' word.
You made my point, yes, they were around Jesus and follow him but they did not believe in him but they were there with the intention to tempted him and accuse him falsely and kill him, but Jesus never seek after them nor look for them, they came on their own to waste his time.
This is why Jesus called them hypocrite, a generation of snake and scorpions who does not abide in the truth, who their father is the devil, who worship GOD with their mouth but their heart is far away from him.
Jesus did not associate with hypocrite and liars and murderer who wanted to kill him.
The Pharisees follow Jesus and heard his messages.
Jesus ask them a question: Why therefore do not understand my word? Because you cannot obey my word?
Jesus then said to them: But because I speak the truth, you do not believe me.
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever obeys my word shall never see death [John 8:43-45, 51].
We see later on the Pharisees who did not obey his word because they did not believe him try to stone him [John 8:59].
Jesus never follow the Pharisees or their teaching, neither did he has any activities with them.
There were other time when Pharisees had another chance to pick up stone and stone him, but Jesus again got away from them. [Matthew 19:3; John 10:30-33].
Jesus warm his followers to beware of false Christ and do not follow after them [Luke 21:8].
And a stranger, Jesus' sheep will not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers [John 10:5].
So we are told not to follow stranger but to walk away from them.
Anyone who preach or teach another gospel we are not to follow him that include false religions, we are to get away from them.
We are not to associate with any of them.
Light expose the hiding things of darkness.
And Jesus said, we are the light of the world, so we are to shine in the world and that means we are to expose the unfruitful works of darkness.
The scripture makes clear after you have admonished the heretic once or twice, shun him (in another word avoid or keep away from him) [Matthew 5:14; Ephesians 5:10-13; Titus 3:10].
We are to keep away from any person who are false Christ and stranger whom voice is not the Lord's voice and heretic who after you have admonished them once or twice you shun him.
That left us with the other sinners who have not heard the preaching of the gospel, these people we approach to preach or teach the good news of the gospel and we can visit them and share with them as long they listen and receive you and believe the Lord Jesus Christ and his gospel, if not then we to leave them alone, and get away from them because they are unbelievers which now have no excuse before God.
Jesus said, whoever believe not has already being condemned for not believing in the name of the only begotten Son of God; and shall not see life but the wrath of God shall remain on him [John 3:18,36]
Jesus said to his disciples go to every city and preach the kingdom of God and heal the sick, they were told every where they go to stay in that house until they leave and whosoever shall not receive them, nor hear them, when they depart thence, shake off the dust under their feet for a testimony against them [Mark 6:11-12: Luke 9:2-6].
Jesus did not said stay there until you convince them or come back another day and try again, no he said leave and shake the dust under their feet for a testimony against them.
Once they don't receive you nor listen to you (the preaching of the kingdom of God) get away from them for God will deal with them. The disciples were not told to go back again period.
We are to preach the kingdom of God to the sinners who have not heard the word of God yet, to repent of their sins and accept Jesus the Son of God as their Lord and savior.
If after hearing they refuse to receive you nor listen to you, then you are told by Jesus Christ to leave them, get away from them and don't come back again.
Sorry but Jesus says it from his own mouth we are to get away from unbelievers after they hearing the preaching and choose not to listen to the gospel nor receive you anymore, another word if they don't want to believe it neither wants to accept Jesus as their Lord and savior nor wants to receive you, because they believe in another religion message, we are to get away and do not associated with them anymore.
This kind of people are the one who bring other doctrine believes contrary to our believe in Christ Jesus and this kind of people we don't welcome them to our home, for we are not to partaker of their evil deeds [2 John 1:10].
We are called to expose all the unfruitful works of darkness.
Jesus said to his disciples preach every city you go, but remember many will not believe and many will hate you because of my name sake and they will put some of you in jail and other to death [Matthew 10:1-42].
Jesus Love the world that he preach to them the gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven
The bible teaches that believers are to love their enemies and do good to them.
Jesus said to his disciples: Love God above all things, this is the first commandment and the second is similar to it, Love your neighbors as yourselves.
We are to Love the enemies or our neighbor, but not the worldly things.
We are to love the enemies by doing good to them, but always leading them to Christ.
One thing is to love our enemies and do good to them and another things is to associate and embrace false teaching and different doctrines believes, no we don't associate nor welcome any other religion believe, but we expose them to the light.
Even if the authority or leaders become unbelievers and corrupted, and choose to persecute the church of Christ and force us to renounce our believes and embrace other religion believe we are to disobey them and remain firm in Jesus Christ name up to the end?
We obey God's word and not man's word.
Let continue, Jesus Christ came to this world for what purpose to save the world, but he first started to preached to his own people.
For salvation was first for the people of Israel, but because they rejected the Messiah salvation has come to all of us.
John wrote: For God so love the world, that he sent his begotten SON, that whosoever believe in him shall not parish but have everlasting Life.
Jesus did not came to the world to condemned the world, but that the world through him may have life.
But if a person refuse to believe Jesus is the son of God who came to the world to save sinners what then, this is what Jesus said, he who do not believe is condemned already for not believing in the name of the only begotten SON OF GOD.
And he who does not believe the SON [OF GOD] shall not see life but the wrath of God shall be on him [John 3:18, 36].
For it is written, he who has Jesus' commandments with him and obey them is the one who love Jesus [John 14:21].
He who love Jesus Christ the Son of God keep his word [John 14:23].
And the purpose of keeping his word is to maintain yourselves pure of other corrupted books or others religions believes.
You see love will deny other error message that displease God.
Jesus main object was to save sinners, he said to the Pharisees who criticize him for eating with the sinners, they that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick [Matthew 9:11-13].
What is the purpose of a doctor? Doctor purpose is to heal illness and diseases
So Jesus was saying here he is there to preach to them for they needing to hear the message of the gospel and be saved.
Here shows Jesus ate with sinners but the main things of all is to feed and heal their souls, in another word he was there to preach the kingdom of Heaven.
Jesus was not there wasting his time, and talking thing that does not please God, no, he was there doing the work of the Father.
Jesus preached the kingdom of heaven and many came to him and was healed and Jesus forgives their sins.
Because he forgive sins the Pharisee and other leaders groups of those time did not like him at all neither because he healed in the Sabbath day, so they look for an opportunity, a way to accuse him falsely and kill him.
And they tempted him many time and try to stone him more than one time, but Jesus got away from them every time.
Jesus one day he was coming and met a blind man and he heal this man of his blindness and then after many days Jesus saw him again in the temple and Jesus said unto him, Behold, you are made whole [healed] sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto you [John 5:14].
Jesus approached to this blind man who was a sinner and who was healed to warn him not to sin no more, lest a worst thing come unto him.
Later a woman was caught in adultery and the people condemned her stone to death and brought her to Jesus to tempt him and to see what Jesus will says, but Jesus said unto them if any man is without sins let him throw the first stone, one by one went away and she was left alone, Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee go, and sin no more. [John 8:11].
Again here Jesus show mercy toward her but he warn her to sin no more.
Jesus said to those who was there listening to him, When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation [Matthew 12:43-45].
The wicked generation are those who after hearing and following Christ then they turn around and refuse to follow and believe in him any more, this is the kind of people who will go from bad to worst.
John the Baptist preached the kingdom of God is near, and to repent of their sins.
The Messiah is to come and then the end of the world.
Jesus work is to do his father's will bringing many souls closest to God.
When Jesus went to the temple he saw there that people was selling oxen and sheep and doves and those who was sitting there exchanging money.
And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables; And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.
Jesus got mad and rebuke them with all authority.
Jesus' works is to preach the Kingdom of Heaven and heal all of those who has been bounded and oppressed by Satan.
Jesus ate with sinners, and show up at the feast wedding in Jerusalem and share with them too, but his main objecting of eating and sharing with them is to preach and draw them closest to the Father.
The Christians are to be around sinners to preached the kingdom of heaven.
Second, informed them to depart from all their evil ways and sins no more.
That is the called of God.
Jesus when he was in temple he preach the gospel, but many doubted him and did not follower him.
Those who tempted him and wanted to kill, Jesus called them: Serpent, scorpion, hypocrite, wolves dress like sheep, bandits or thieves, liars who does not stand on the true, who kill the prophets, and worship GOD with their mouth but their heart is so far away from him, whose FATHER is the Satan, Son of the Devil.
That is how Jesus called those false brothers.
However love rebuke, exhort, and comfort the brothers.
It is the scripture who will doctrine, reproof, correct, and give instruction of righteousness; so God's people may become complete, thoroughly perfected for every good work [2 Timothy 3:16-17].
People will says no one on this earth is perfect, all of us are imperfect creature who sins every day, and we cannot do it on our own, this is why we need the Lord Jesus Christ to help us in our daily life and forgive us of all our sins.
Well, that sound really good, I agree if we think that we are not perfect of our own.
But I am not talking about from our own strength and power because you are not perfect but I am talking about being perfect through God's love.
What it is to be perfect in God's love?
To be perfect in God's love is to obey his Commandments: To love God above all things, and second commandment is similar to it, to love your neighbor as yourselves.
The bible says Love is the fulfilling of the law and cover multitude of sins.
Love is pour into our heart by the Holy Spirit that dwells in us.
God help us in everything because we Love him.
Whoever Love is born of God and know God and this is the victory that overcome the world even our faith.
Love gain all and overcome all.
Any one who love is made perfect in his love.
For love perfected us [1 Jonn 2:3-6,5-9; 3:9,23; 4:7,12,16-17,19-20; 5:3-4,18].
When Christians begin to look and think and speak and walk in his love then we become perfect but if we stop walking in his perfect love then we left perfection to imperfection and once you left it you are now an imperfect creature.
As long men obey his law of Love, men are under God's perfection, walking in his perfection, and it makes all doers of the word perfect in Christ Jesus, not of our own but in God's perfect love.
What it means to be the light of the world?
To be the light of the world is the opposite of darkness and darkness is evil and evil is sin and to be the light is to abide in life and blessing and dwelling in GOD'S perfect LOVE, it is the only way you will be born of God and know God.
Jesus said, he who has my commandments with him and obey them is the one who love me and he who love me keep my word the Father will love him, but he who does not love me does not keep my word, for this word which you hear is not my own but the Father's who sent me [John 14:21-24].
Is Jesus lying here, can we obey his commandments or not?
And if we can obey his commandments of love then we can be perfected in his perfection love.
In Hebrew 6:1 it said, leave the principle of the doctrine of Christ [another word leave the beginning of the word of God], and go on unto perfection .....
Here the writer of the book of Hebrews tell us we have know the word of Christ that saved sinners, the repentance of sins, and this is the beginning of the word of Christ, we have being saved though him, but we are to leave this part and go unto perfection [God's Love].
We are to walk as Jesus walk on earth, a man who did not sins, so are we also should imitate him in all things.
Let me ask you a question: If Jesus said we should be perfect just as my Father in heaven is perfect, was Jesus then lying about it?
Did he says something that is impossible for you to do it or practice it?
I believe he said it because we are able to do it for all things are possible to him who believe.
What kind of perfection God is that we can be?
"Love" for God is love.
The scripture said, God is love and him who dwells in love abides in God [1 John 4:16].
The scripture is clear if we walk in the light as he is in the light, leading a spiritual life, you shall never commit the lusts of the flesh, but for you to lead a spiritual life you have to abides in his word and keep his commandments and obey it and his commandments is base on God's Love [Galatians 5:16; 1John 2:3-9].
Jesus is calling brave children of GOD who are doers of the word. for he who love Jesus does keep his word but he who does not love Jesus does not keep his word [John 14:24].
And those who don't love Jesus , hate the Lord and love death [Proverbs 8:36].
And in the book of 1 Corinthians 16:22 Paul said to the church in those days, Whoever does not love our Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed. Maranetha, That is to say our Lord has come.
Jesus made it clear, unless a man remain in me and I in him [his word remain in him], he will be cast outside like a branch which is withered, which they pick up and throw into the fire to be burned.
Man has no excuse when he stand before the Lord that day.
So we are to remain in him and be a doer of the word and sin no more that is God message of the kingdom.
2. Are we to love the worldly things?
We are not to love the worldly things.
It is written that we should not love the things of the world, for he who love the world the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world is the lust of the body [flesh], the covetousness of the eyes, and the pride of material things, these things do not come from the Father, but from the world [1 John 2:15-16].
It is the fleshly things that is known as worldly things of the world for example: adultery, lies, deception, murder, thieves, immoral, idolater, wrath, fraudulent, drunkard, corrupt, men who lie with males, extortioners, railers, defrauders, unrighteousness and etc ..., all of them are called the works of the flesh and are in the world.
James said: do you not know that the love of worldly things is enmity with God?
Whoever therefore, esteems worldly things is the enemy of God [James 4:4].
Whoever does the works of the flesh sin and in the book of 1 John, he said whoever sin is of the devil.
And he who love not his brother [his fellow believers of Christ] is a murderer and no murderer have eternal life in them [1 John 3:15].
And any one who love not his brother in Christ is in sin, and whoever sin commit evil for all sins is evil [1 John 3:4].
We as Christians are called to be soldiers of God abhorring that which is evil [Romans 12:9].
The Lord is blowing his trumpet calling all believers and he wants the believers to put on the whole spiritual armor of God and being prepare they will prevail against all attack of the devil.
God has given the believers the assurance that at the end they will win the spiritual battle race [Ephesians 6:11-20].
The church is in a spiritual war zone and we need to be prepared to know how to used the sword of the Spirit [the word of God] and stop the mouth of the lion.
With the sword of the Spirit shunning empty and worthless word for they increase the ungodliness of those who argue over them [1Timothy 2:16].
Shunning every brother who leads an evil life and not in accord with the commandments (of Jesus Christ) which he receive from us [2 Thessalonians 3:6].
Have no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather condemn them and expose them by the light; and the scripture said, anything that is made manifest is light [Ephesians 5:11-13].
Those who are called are sent by the Lord to convert sinners and baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and the Holy Spirit and to teach them to obey the Commandments of the Lord [Matthews 28:18-20].
Children of God are the light of the world and as light you are not to hid yourselves from the world, but come out and go into the world and shine there and condemn all work of darkness.
When Jesus was in the world he said to his disciples: The world cannot hate you; but it hate me, because I testify against it that its works are evil [John 7:7].
The world hated Jesus because he testify against the lust of the flesh that is a sin and evil
The disciples were not hated by the world yet, because Jesus has not die on the cross and they have not being cover with power from heaven, but then later after his disciples has followed Christ and learned from him and he then sent them, that time forward they were reading to go out into the world.
He told them the world will hate you because I have chosen you out of the world.
And if they persecuted me they will persecute you, if they kept my word, they will also keep your word.
Again Jesus tell them, f the world hate you, know well that it has hated Jesus first before them [John 15:18-21].
The reason the world will do this to his disciples because of the name of Jesus Christ and they don't know the Father who sent him.
The bad part of all is their worst enemy will be their own family members [Matthew 10:34-39].
But he who leaves his family members and worldly things aside for Christ's sake shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life [Matthew 19:29].
For we all know the devil is out there causing all work of darkness for he is a thief who come to steal, and to kill and to destroy, but Jesus has come so that the world might have life and have it more abundantly.
Jesus has given us the gospel of salvation for the church to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts and live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world so that the world will not have any reason to point a finger at you to accuse you.
The scripture said, get angry, but do not sins, and let not the sun go down upon your anger, and do not give the devil a chance [Ephesians 4:27].
When we go out there some people will put you in a anger spot, and it is ok to get angry but don't sins, do not let the sun go down upon your anger, we are not to give the devil any chances in our life [Ephesians 4:26].
Don't allow sins dominate you, for sin shall not have dominion over you for you are not under the law but under grace [Romans 4:14].
The church might have tribulation but we rejoice because Jesus has already overcome the world [John 16:33].
We are to be in cheer because we love and we are born of God and this is the victory that overcome the world, and even our faith.
The faith that we have is strong in the Lord and the power of his might [Ephesians 6:10; 1 John 4; 7; 5:4].
Through Jesus Christ we keep ourselves pure; for we are peculiar people zealous of good works, these things we are to speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority, and let no man despise us [Titus 2:11-15].
3. Are Christians called to unite as one with sinners who disagree and don't believe the bible?
As I have said before the answer is no.
For the word of God said, Anyone who preach a different message and deny that Jesus is the Son of God who has come in the flesh is a deceiver and an anti-Christ and the bible said, do not receive him into your house. .... oh else you are partaker of his evil deeds [2 John 10-11].
We are not to be part of in the unfruitful works of darkness [Ephesians 5:11].
Christians, who are we suppose to marry?
Believers are told not unite in marriage with unbelievers [2 Corinthians 6:14-17],
We are not to be united with them because God is a jealous God.
God said to his children separate and touch not the unclean thing and then I will receive you.
Paul in the church of Corinth, he told the marry woman as long her husband life she is bond to him, but if her husband die she is free to marry who she wish but in the Lord [1 Corinthians 7:39].
Christians women are told to marry any person she wish as long is a Christian.
It was against the religion of Israel to marry outside of their tribes but in Jesus time there were Jew who were mix, but these Jews that were mix was the cause of what happened to the Kingdom of Israel by the Babylon people.
These mix people were the lost sheep of Israel whom Jesus was looking for and he found one a Samaria woman at the well [John 4;7].
How this people got mix and what happen to them was God anger toward Solomon for sinning before God.
The LORD GOD did not allow his sons to rule over the 10 tribes of Israel but gave it to his servant.
But later the servant rebel against GOD word and God render their land to the hands of Babylon people.
After Babylon took the land of Israel Babylon king replace them with the surrounded neighbors and they move out the Israel people to small areas land with others pagan of different cultures and religion believes and the people of Israel learned their language and cultures and their religion and Israel religion mix and out of it gave birth to a new race of people with a new religion believes.
In another word Israel people little by little got mingling with them and a new generation of mixture races and religion was born.
You see God wants his church to be the light of the world and shine in the middle of darkness and not get mingling with unbelievers because he is a jealous God, He doesn't share his glory with pagan nor with unbelievers who has other believe, for we are the temple of God and God live in us and we are not our own, but the Lord, we are his property to serve and please God.
If we going to be the light of the world, we can not acts like them neither embrace their believe, we don't hate them, on contrary we love them so much we have to tell them the true, to repent of their sins for Jesus, the Son of God is Lord and Savior of the world whom in his blood there is forgiveness of sins.
Men are called to depart from all evil and serve the Lord.
The main thing about loving a sinner is to tell them they are not save and they need a deliverer to be saved and Jesus is the man who can save them and through him they will have access to the Father.
And those who are in error and teaches any other messages are wrong and against God's word and need to be free from the trap of Satan by whom they have been draw to his will.
For Jesus who is the way can free sinners from all bondage and oppression of the devil and can give them life eternal. That is the kind of love God approve, Jesus came to save all sinners.
They need to become friend with Jesus Christ by departing from all evil deeds.
Disbelieving that Jesus is the Son of God is evil report because Jesus is the word of God.
Moses sent spies to spy a land for them to bring back good report in how to take the land because God had already spoken to them that they will possess the land but instead of them believing on God's word and find out how they going to come in and possess the land, When the spies came back they gave an evil report they said: it is impossible to go in and possess land because we saw there giants.
Caleb spoke good report he said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
Those who brought evil report and said Giants is in the land and we look like grasshoppers before them, the people believe them and were afraid of them, and that evil report was so evil that God was not so please with them.
God was please with Joshua and Caleb but not with the rest of the people of Israel.
God was so mad that he wandered all the generation of Israel that came out of Egypt until they all died and only remain the new generation who was born of them and then he allow them to enter into the promise land along with Caleb and Joshua.
Fear, doubt, lies, deception, unbeliever, and disobedience to his word are evil report.
This is something Christians should be aware of and avoid it.
Whosoever is a friend of the world is enemy of God.
The meaning of world here are stuff that people love to do that displease God.
Stuff like the lust of the flesh, the covetousness of the eyes and the pride of material things.
These things are what the people of the world love to do and God is saying to the churches don't be part of it.
Man of the world love to practice the lust of the flesh and his eyes covet after them, including mammoth [wealth and riches] they love it more than God.
But the Christians practice God's word.
When people start to add or take away the word of God he put himself in a danger spot.
Most of the time people are tempted to come against the word, because the enemy know how much they love more mammoth than God.
The bible makes it clear that believers are to covert sinners from the error of their ways so the sinners souls may be saved and multitude of sins be wipe out [James 5:19-20].
Paul said, I have made myself servant unto all, that I may gain the more. And with the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law. To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you [1 Corinthians 9:19-23].
Even though, Paul said he made himself servant unto all, for the reason to gain them to Christ.
That is the main reason of Paul gaining the Jews [who know not the Son of God], those who are under the law [those who still follow the law of circumcision and other ritual ceremony], and those that are without the law [the sinners], to the weak [who still need to grow spiritually strong in the Lord and the power of his might], he made all things to all men, that he might by all means save some for the gospel's sake.
Paul would not contradicted himself and said something now and change it latter, no he mean what he meant and he preach to those who need to hear the word of God, but those who in their heart has rejected and don't believe in the word neither accept and love the Son of God and does not receive the word, Paul did not associated with them nor invited them to eat with him.
For Paul had said in 1 Timothy 6:3-5: Any man who come and teaches a different doctrines and does not offer the wholesome words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the doctrine of reverence of God but argue and quarrel over it causing envy and controversy and blasphemy and evil premeditation.
Men whom mind are corrupted and are cut off from the truth and who think worshiping God is for worldly gain; with such person keep away.
These kind of people Paul is saying to the churches to keep away from them.
If Paul is saying to the church to keep away from them then does not that tell you Paul for sure kept his distance away from disbelievers?
I believe he did.
Even inside the church we have these kind of people and they are causing all kind of damage inside the church and we are told to stay away from them and not associated with them who practice all kind of works of the flesh.
We are called to stay away from anybody who preach or teach any other message.
In the book of 1 Corinthians 5:9-13; 6:9-10: Paul said, that any one who called himself a brother but are living a life of fornication, or they are adulterers, covetous, idolaters, railers, drunkards, corrupt, extortioners, men who lie with males, immoral, thieves, defrauders or fraudulent shall not inherit the Kingdom of God.
With such a brother do not associate with them Paul said.
We are to put away from among us those wicked person.
God will judge the outsiders, Paul said.
We are to judge the brother inside the church.
Paul also said something very important here: Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world?
And if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
Know ye not that we shall judge angels?
How much more things that pertain to this life?
We are to judge righteous judgment everywhere we go that pertain to this life, for God is the one who judge the world of their sins with his word, how?
God called and send preachers to preach to them the gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven.
And we believers are to judge our brother inside the church with God's word too, the gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven.
God said, whosoever does not believe in the Son of God have been condemned already for not believing the only begotten Son of God and he does not have life, and the wrath of God shall remain in him.
Galatians 1:5-9 Paul said to them, if a person or an angel from heaven come and preached any other gospel to you than that which the churches have heard according to the bible let that person or angel from heaven be accursed because they have stirred up and want to pervert the gospel.
We are called not to be partaker of other man's sins; we are to keep ourselves pure [1 Timothy 5:22].
And any man who are not following Christ foot steps and come with another gospel are deceivers and these kind of people are accursed and does not have access into the Kingdom of God.
We are not to associate with them and the church should be precaution of these wolves. see 1 Corinthians 5:9-11; 6:9-10.
The scripture said There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Anyone who don't love Jesus then it is obvious you hate him? Anyone who hate the Lord love death [Proverbs 8:36[.
4. What Jesus meant when he said, I did not come to bring peace, but division?
People says we are not to cause division or criticize against other religion believe.
Did Jesus really says do not cause division?
Let see what the scripture said about it, Jesus said, I have not come to bring peace on earth, but division.
But I thought I was not allow to make division. Well let keep on reading more.
To grasp and understand the whole contend of what Jesus is saying here you have to read the entire chapter of the story.
Jesus was telling his disciple when you go to all the city preach the gospel, but they are to remember that many will not receive it and many will hate them because of Jesus' name.
Jesus said, Brother will deliver his own brother to death and father his son; and children will rise up against their parents and put them to death and because of my name they will persecute you to one city and put some of you to death.
The believers were not to be afraid of him who can kill the body but can not kill the soul, but the believers are to be afraid on God who can destroy both the soul and the body in hell.
Jesus told his disciples not to be afraid of anyone who threat them.
Jesus continue saying to them, if any one knowledge me then I will acknowledge him before his Father in heaven, but whoever deny [because of fear] me before men, I will deny him before the Father in heaven.
When Jesus says, I have not come to bring peace but division he was referring Father against son, daughter against her mother and a daughter in law against her mother in law.
Man enemies will be his own household members.
Their own family will hate them because of Jesus name.
Even sinners who disbelieve the gospel will hate you and persecute you and put you in prison because of the name of Jesus Christ.
We are to lose our life for Jesus' sake and then we shall find life.
That is what Jesus was talking about: he did not come to bring peace but division and because of Jesus name sake we will be hated by family members including those who called themselves our brother or sister in the Lord but are not and unbelievers [Matthew 10:1-42].
If any person happen to add and take away his word of the scripture, whoever add to his word, God will add to him the plagues that are written in the bible.
And anyone who take away his word, God shall take away his portion from the tree of life and from the holy city and from the things which are written in this book.
Be careful what you says and do for it is a fearful things to fall into the hands of God.
Therefore, We are to love sinners and be around them with the intention to preach the gospel to them and converted them so they can pleases the Lord Jesus Christ by abhorring that which is evil.
The church are not to unite with unbelievers in marriage neither are the church to touch the unclean nor love worldly things of the flesh.
Anyone who preaches any other gospel and deceive people in order to converted them to their religions believe, and those who do work of iniquity, the scripture said they are an anti-Christ and are accursed.
The churches are not to associate with them, we are not to be partaker of any man's evil deed because they are accursed.
We are to expose them and shun every soft of evil works of darkness and condemn it.
We rebuke them with all authority in season and out of season, shining in the middle of darkness, for light triumph over darkness and gives life to all human souls.
